Beat this Summer Heat
First of all I just can’t believe how hot it is this summer. Nowadays I cannot sleep without the air-con being turned on. As I was thinking on what to blog about, this heat gave me my idea. Today’s blog is about a couple of waterfalls you can visit and dip in to escape this heat. Both places have directions on the road signs to take you there. Maybe you have been there or maybe not. The First is Ochouzu waterfall in Tosu. This place is popular and is usually full on weekends. It also has a camping site and hiking trails. Clear signs on route 31 can lead you there. The second waterfall is not as popular. I personally prefer this one. There is a popular swimming spot for kids known as Azumaya on the way to this waterfall. Signs on the road can take you to Azumaya. Once you reach Azumaya do not stop continue past it and you will reach a split in the road. Take the road on the right follow this to the end. It is about 1km from Azumaya. You will find a big clear field at the end. This is usually used for camping and to make BBQ. The river runs beside this field and you can find a trail to the river on the opposite side from where you entered. The waterfall is about a 50m walk away. I hope you do find it and appreciate it as much as I did.
Here are some pics from when I went there on Monday the third of August.
